How does the FCC have the nerve to fine millions of dollars to several major electronic retailers for not following their ruling on posting labels on analog TV’s that do not include a digital tuner. They made this rule to inform consumers of analog TV sets that are still out on shelves that will not work after February 17, 2009 when the digital transition takes place.

Congress mandated the conversion to all-digital television broadcasting. That’s right; THEY forced us to change over to DTV. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge electronics junkie! I myself have a 60″ HDTV and home theater … but just think of this for a moment.
While the FCC is fining the hell out of major retailers!
Their parents (the government) are offering “vouchers” to consumers to help pad the cost of digital converters for those who either can’t afford a digital tuner […]
