Our engineers tell me that Greenlight’s HD looks a lot better than what you have now. Specifically, we’re seeing less digital tiling in the picture. Digital tiling shows up as squares on the pictures, often when something moves. I’m a big Ghost Hunters fan and I see it at home pretty often on the cable company’s signal. Nothing like tiling to ruin a spooky moment.
We’ll also have more HD channels to choose from, including the ones you enjoy now. Plus, because we have higher bandwidth there’s room to add more HD channels, depending on what you want.
For those who don’t know about HD, high-definition television is a format that includes superior picture and sound compared to the standard TV sets. The easiest way to spot it is the different size. HD is usually broadcast in a 16 by 9 format which is wider than the old sets.
