I read today that Comcast is going to start placing a limit on how much data a subscriber can download. The limit they plan on imposing is 250 gigabytes of data. Granted, 250GB is more than enough for the average user.
I am not so much concerned about the limit more than I am concerned about the internet will soon become a regulated utility. There are too many entities losing money because so many services are free on the internet. The US Post Office is losing tons of money because of email. Phone companies are losing money thanks to services like Instant Messenger and online chatting. They also lose money to cable companies and third party companies that offer VoIP Phone Services.
