Choose a Size:
Make sure it fits your room. To get an ideal screen size range:
1. Measure the distance from your TV set to your sitting area.
2. Divide that distance by 2 and then by 3 to get the right screen size range for the room.
For example: the distance to the TV set is 7 feet (84 inches). Divide 84” by 2 to get a 42” set. Then divide 84” by 3 to get a 28” set. Your idea TV size range is between 28” to 42”.
Choose an Aspect Ratio: (the shape of the TV screen)
You can choose between widescreen (16:9) and standard (4:3). Widescreen is the format of the future and most Digital TV sets and almost all HDTV sets are widescreen.
Widescreen TV sets can adjust standard content to fill the screen while standard sets show widescreen content in letterbox (with black bars).
