O produtor associado de Super Street Fighter  II Turbo HD Remix, Rey Jimenez, comentou em entrevista ao The Street Fighter Blog que a versão redesenhada do clássico de fighting game sairá em 2008. .
“Estamos no rumo de lançar o game este ano, e a não ser que aconteça algum evento catastrófico e imprevisto, isto não deve mudar”, afirmou Jimenez.
Além disso, o produtor, otimista, explica que o novo Street Fighter II está em fase final para correção de bugs (erros) do sistema do game.
“Já estamos na reta final. Estamos basicamente acabando com os bugs [erros de programação] que apareceram na fase beta aberta e alguns outros problemas”, explicou.
Apesar de saber o dia do lançamento do jogo, o profissional da Capcom contou que não pode dar informações sobre o dia do lançamento, devido aos ajustes e definições do marketing da produtora.

Apparently SNK Playmore are considering pushing an entry of their killer run n’ gun series, Metal Slug, onto our home consoles in HD glory.  
IGN has caught an interview with SNK Playmore reps, although no real details were dropped…
In order to meet our fans demands for an HD version of Metal Slug, we’re considering bringing this series to the new generation of consoles in a similar way to KOF XII

Hopefully they mean similar in the entirely new HD sprites kind of way, and not similar in the in development for over 2 years way.
Nothing more has been said regarding a release date or solid confirmation other than “We look forward to announcing this someday soon”. The ball was dropped when Metal Slug 6 was released on new arcade hardware and no graphical changes were made, so looks like we’ll all be stuck playing Metal Slug X on the megalo 50’s […]

Interesting opinion piece in the Guardian today by Phelim O’Neill on some of the more distracting features of high definition.
Have you been bitten by the HD bug? Do you find it too expensive with too poor a selection of movies currently available to take the plunge? Maybe you just wish display screens showed something other than the fabulous-on-any-format Pixar CGI movies? Am I just experiencing teething troubles or have I entered a world where movies have had their magic stripped away?
